About us
New United Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church was organized by The Reverend Tony Neal, Jr. on November 11, 1976, in the home of Sister Henriette Wilbert. Those in attendance were Deacon John Neal, Deacon Freddie Neal, Sister Ella Mae Neal, Sister Rosie L. Neal, Sister Amanda E. Howard (King) and Sister Wilhelmina Green. Under the leadership of Reverend Tony Neal, Jr., a former upholstery shop was purchased and transformed into a Sanctuary by the very hands of Reverend Neal, Jr. Under the stern leadership and love of Reverend Neal, Jr. the Deacon Board, Trustee Board, Choirs, School Sunday, Usher Boards, a Treasurer, and Church Secretary and Clerk were established. With these ministries in place the Church's membership grew into the sanctuary we know and love today.
Our pastor
Under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Tony Neal, III., many have joined New United to hear the word of God and fellowship with others. Reverend Doctor Neal III is a graduate from Florida Theological Seminary. In October 2006 Reverend Doctor Tony Neal, III was called to continue the work of past pastors Reverend Tony Neal, Jr. and Reverend Willie J. King. By starting the Pastor's Aid board, Youth Department, and Missionary Society, he ensures that the legacy of New United continues by spreading God's word and God's love.
